How to get there

Amed lies on the north-eastern tip of Bali, about a 3 hours drive from Denpasar Airport.

If you come from Amlapura, take the road to Singaraja. About half an hour, in the village of Culik you go to the right, there is a sign to Amed.
If you come from Singaraja take the road to Amlapura, about 1,5 hours drive from there, after Tianjar, Kubu, you enter the village of Culik, go to the left to Amed.

Just before the beach go to the right and follow the road. From there it is about 2 km to Jukung Bali. You pass several restaurants and accommodations. We are situated on the seaside, just past a small supermarket on the right. On the left is Jukung Bali, there is a sign and parking place.

We can arrange a transfer from the airport to Jukung Bali, vv.
The price is Rp 600.000 one way (if you arive at the airport between 9 pm and 6 am the price is Rp 700.000). This is the fastest and safest way to go to Amed. It takes 3 hours.

Sometimes there is a shuttle-service available from Kuta, Sanur, Ubud, Padangbai and Lovina. The company for shuttle services is Peramatours. They stop on their way a lot so it can take up to 5 to 6 hours to reach Amed from Kuta (http://www.peramatour.com/Daily-Bali-Lombok-Shuttle-Bus-Boat.html)

Another possiblility is to reach Amed on one of Bali’s bemos, this is not really convenient if you are traveling with large or valuable luggage. The trip with a bemo may take anywhere from 4 to 10 hours or more.
